Accessibility
We believe everyone deserves equal access to information and support — regardless of ability or assistive technology.
Our Commitment
Work Beyond Cancer is committed to ensuring our website is accessible to people with disabilities. We strive to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, as referenced by the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) and the Accessible Canada Act.
Our WCAG 2.1 AA commitment covers four core principles:
- Perceivable content — text alternatives for non-text content, captions for media, and content that can be presented in different ways without losing meaning.
- Operable interface — all functionality is available via keyboard, sufficient time to read and use content, and no content that could cause seizures.
- Understandable information — text is readable and understandable, pages operate in predictable ways, and users are helped to avoid and correct mistakes.
- Robust content — content is compatible with current and future assistive technologies, including screen readers.
